Three cold-formed metal jamb framing configurations are shown, detailing multi-stud assemblies and fastening schedules around rough openings. The double-jamb assembly utilizes two jamb studs connected by six-inch long track pieces of twenty gauge minimum, spaced twenty-four inches on center maximum and centered at the head, sill, and intermediate connection points, with eight number ten screws per connection point. Alternatively, track pieces attach jamb members using one number ten screw at twenty-four inches on center on each leg and two number ten screws into the webs at twenty-four inches on center. Triple and quad jamb configurations follow similar attachment methods per the double jamb standard.
