This interior ceiling transition junction connects a gypsum wallboard ceiling system to an acoustical ceiling panel system. A metal shadow moulding provides a clean reveal and recess between the gypsum board and the suspended ceiling grid. The gypsum board is supported by framing with a six-inch vertical drop, and the acoustical ceiling panel is supported by main or cross runners suspended by wire hangers. A metal corner bead finishes the gypsum board edge at the shadow moulding.
