A twelve-gauge vertical hanger wire attaches to the structure above and ties to a one-and-one-half-inch by sixteen-gauge main runner spaced at forty-eight inches on center. Seven-eighths-inch by twenty-gauge furring channels span across the runners at sixteen inches on center and are saddle tied with sixteen-gauge wire. A one-and-one-half-inch by one-and-one-half-inch by sixteen-gauge angle fastens to the wall with number eight sheet metal screws at each stud. Five-eighths-inch gypsum board finishes the ceiling with a J-mold at the perimeter boundary.
