A circular handrail is supported by a bracket plate with concealed fasteners attached to a sixty-eight mil steel stud. The handrail consists of one and a quarter inch to two inch outside diameter circular tubing, welded and ground smooth if steel and painted as scheduled. The bracket plate fastens to vertical studs at bracket locations with typical backing at partitions with handrails. A one inch shaftwall liner backs the assembly, maintaining a minimum one and a half inch clear distance from the face of the finished partition.
