An aluminum L4x4 brace connects to an aluminum rectangular tube column using a one-half inch aluminum gusset plate. Two three-quarter inch diameter stainless steel bolts fasten each brace leg to the gusset plate. The gusset plate is welded to the column with a quarter-inch fillet weld.
