This one-hour fire-rated partition assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories Design U415. The framing consists of a runner track supporting one layer of 1-inch gypsum shaftliner board on one side and one layer of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board on the face. An acoustic blanket insulation is installed in the cavity where required. Joint sealant is applied at the base of the partition for acoustic and fire performance.
