A roof drain fixture is installed through the roof assembly, supported by the roof sheathing and framed per structural drawings. Tapered rigid insulation forms a drain sump around the fixture with a slope of less than three inches to one horizontal foot. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends continuously beneath the drain flange and is sealed with application sealant per manufacturer specifications. Fasteners secure the assembly through the structural support elements.
