A steel pipe support penetrates an insulated steel roof deck, bearing on a steel angle welded to the top chord of joists, structural steel, or joist. The penetration is sealed with a pipe flashing extending a minimum of 8 inches above the new roof, secured by a 24 gauge stainless steel clamp and approved sealant. Single-ply flashing membrane extends down the pipe and across the roof deck with a minimum 6 inch lap, secured by four seam plates and fasteners per pipe and hot-air welded at seams. Gaps of 1/16 inch or greater are filled with expansive foam sealant.
