A plumbing vent penetrates through the roof assembly, which consists of membrane roofing secured at the base. A preformed pipe flashing is placed over the penetration and sealed to the membrane using a hot air weld. Four fasteners and plates anchor the flashing base per penetration. The top of the flashing is secured around the vent pipe using a stainless steel pipe clamp and the manufacturer's recommended sealant. The plumbing vent extends as necessary for the roof assembly and maintains an 8 inch minimum flashing height.
