A stone threshold transitions at a cased opening over a depressed concrete slab. An anti-crack and uncoupling membrane is applied directly to the slab, topped with float mortar to achieve a level surface for the scheduled stone finish. Tile movement joints installed in accordance with TCNA EJ171F standards are positioned on either side of the threshold, with sealant matched to the grout color. The stone threshold profile is subject to approval with widths varying based on the jamb condition.
