Storefront jamb assembly at a wood-framed wall, featuring a minimum 22-gauge sheet metal closure flashing installed over the flashing prestrip and onto the horizontal furring. A 2 1/2-inch by 1/2-inch continuous angle sits at the wood window fin, with FAF-1 flashing applied over the angle and penetrations. The weather-resistive barrier (WRB-1) prestrip laps from the face of the sheathing into the rough opening by a minimum of 3 inches, while the FAF-1 laps from the face of the WRB-1 prestrip into the rough opening to encapsulate the field. Interior air barrier sealant and a backer rod at the storefront perimeter tie to the continuous air barrier seal at all openings, maintaining a 3/4-inch clearance at openings.
