Accessible door clearances require a minimum thirty-two inch clear opening width with specific maneuvering clearances at the latch and hinge sides. The pull side approach mandates an eighteen inch minimum clearance at interior doors and twenty-four inch minimum at exterior doors beyond the latch edge, combined with a sixty inch minimum depth from the face of the door. The push side approach requires a forty-eight inch minimum depth with an additional twelve inch clearance if the door is equipped with both a latch and a closer. Front approach configurations maintain these dimensions relative to the direction of travel.
