A medium broom finish concrete truck apron with a thickened edge meets asphalt concrete paving over aggregate base course and compacted soil. The concrete slab features a tooled one-half inch radius edge at the transition and a minimum thickness of nine inches with a thickened edge extending to the bottom of the base at natural grade. Natural grade or aggregate base is placed below the slab per the soils report, and asphalt concrete paving over aggregate base is detailed adjacent with thicknesses designated as AC and AB.
