The rated shaft wall assembly attaches to the underside of the structural steel beam using a slotted track secured with Type S fasteners and stand-off washers spaced at sixteen inches on center maximum, or alternatively with powder-driven fasteners at two feet on center. S12 fasteners spaced at eight inches on center connect the framing members. The assembly includes gypsum board layers and cavity insulation as scheduled.
