A three-eighths-inch thick stone, granite, or ceramic tile material is set in thinset over the subfloor and terminated with a Schluter-Schiene edge protecting profile measuring one-eighth by one inch with a finish to be determined. Adjoining carpet is installed with a subfloor reducer measuring one-eighth to zero inches by twelve inches in length, utilizing a Johnsonite LS-40-F base profile.
