A three-quarter-inch plywood tread is installed over two-by joists framing into a two-by header at the wall. The landing assembly is connected to the two-by stud wall using Simpson A35 bent three-way leg straps at the top and bottom of the rim joist. The wall finish consists of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on the interior side, while the stud wall framing is detailed per structural requirements.
