Jamb construction for half-height doors and gates set within a light-gauge steel stud partition. The assembly features six-inch steel studs spaced at twelve inches on center with wood blocking installed at the opening jamb. The hollow metal or aluminum frame is anchored to the blocking and finished with a welded cap at the top. A flush wood gate or aluminum half door operates within the frame assembly.
