A roof drain is installed through the roof deck over roof sheathing per the manufacturer's instructions. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends beneath the drain flange and is sealed with sealant. Tapered rigid insulation creates a sump around the drain at a slope of less than three inches to one horizontal foot. Structural framing and drain connections are coordinated per structural drawings.
