A vertical curtain wall mullion meets an interior partition wall assembly featuring insulation and scheduled partition framing. A three-quarter inch gap between the mullion and partition is sealed with fire safing and continuous fire sealant for rated conditions, or neoprene for non-rated conditions. The connection includes an interior mullion snap-on cap extension spanning the entire width of the room. L-metal with paintable two-and-a-half-inch tape matches the adjacent wall color, and backer rod with fire sealant is applied at the mullion extension below.
