An air handling unit base frame constructed of hollow structural section shapes is supported on supplemental structural steel framing. An inverted 5-inch by 5-inch by 1/2-inch angle is welded to the base frame to provide a mounting flange. Bar grating rests on the supporting structural angle. A bolted fastener assembly secures the mounting flange and grating to the supplemental structure.
