An interior hollow metal door frame is tied to surrounding metal stud framing spaced at 16 inches on center with 16-gauge Z-clips secured by two number 10 sheet metal screws. The assembly incorporates a three-and-five-eighths-inch by 16-gauge box header fastened with number 8 sheet metal screws at 12 inches on center on each stud leg and two inches maximum from each end. Wall surfaces are finished with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board on each side.
