This section detail shows an aluminum storefront sill resting on a pressure-treated wood sill plate over a concrete foundation. A sill pan flashing with vapor retarder, felt, and EPDM gasket protects the threshold from moisture intrusion, while typical sealant and backer rod seal the exterior joint. The interior floor construction incorporates Marmoleum flooring over a hydronic heating system and insulation. An exterior concrete sidewalk abuts the assembly with a felt and sealant expansion joint. The storefront frame is secured using sill anchors with countersunk fasteners.
