This aluminum storefront window jamb assembly ties into a cold-formed steel stud backup wall with two six-inch metal studs sistered at the jamb. The storefront frame is set with shims as required and sealed at the perimeter with a continuous colored sealant and backer rod on both sides. The wall assembly incorporates five-eighths-inch glass mat gypsum sheathing over a fluid-applied air and moisture barrier, insulated with R-nineteen batt insulation and a vapor barrier on the interior side. Exterior finish consists of one and one-half-inch exterior insulation and finish system with self-adhered flashing sealed to the frame typically at all mullions.
