A steel beam connects to a vertical structural column via a moment connection for a cantilever walkway. A three-eighths-inch doubler plate reinforces the column web. Complete joint penetration groove welds are applied top and bottom, typically with backing bars. Column stiffener plates are installed per separate sheet reference, and additional information is referenced for the shear connection.
