A pipe penetration passes through an insulated metal panel ceiling that separates a non-refrigerated ambient space from a refrigerated space. The refrigerated pipe is wrapped in pipe insulation with thickness specified per refrigeration requirements, and the annular space is filled with foam-in-place insulation. All seams and joints are sealed with caulk on both the ambient and refrigerated sides. The ends of the insulation are coated with CP70 and painted three inches onto the pipe above and below the ceiling.
