An interior door head assembly connects a door to the surrounding wall framing consisting of metal studs and gypsum board. An aluminum door frame sized per schedule and formed from sixteen-gauge material wraps the wall opening. The door leaf meets the frame head with a clearance of three thirty-seconds of an inch. A rough opening is provided one inch over the door height.
