This non-rated wall assembly frames to a one-inch fluted steel deck with a concrete floor or roof running perpendicular or diagonal to the flutes. A continuous twenty-gauge minimum three-inch deep leg deflection track attaches directly to the deck at a maximum of twelve inches on center. Gypsum board and studs remain unattached within the top deflection zone to allow structural movement. A continuous two-inch wide by twenty-gauge metal strap provides lateral top attachment for the studs. The ceiling line is positioned as scheduled.
