A six-inch outside diameter galvanized steel pipe is filled with concrete and topped with a shaped concrete-filled dome cap. The pipe is welded to a hot-dip galvanized embed plate using a quarter-inch fillet weld at the top and a three-sixteenths fillet weld at the base. The embed plate is anchored into the concrete deck with two half-inch diameter A36 rods and two number five reinforcing bars measuring six feet long each way, supplemented by number four bars running through the bent rods.
