A primed base flange set into roof cement is installed over built-up ply sheets and secured with staggered nails at four inches on center, noting that lead flashings do not require fastening. Two stripping plies set in asphalt are applied over the flange edge, extending outward over the roof membrane. The assembly is finished with an application of roof cement and a white acrylic coating. The base roof membrane is installed per specification meeting Factory Mutual ninety wind uplift standards over the typical roof section.
