The assembly consists of a thermoplastic-coated sheet metal scupper set into a parapet wall, with all scupper joints soldered for watertightness. The scupper flange is hot-air welded to the roof membrane flashing, which is installed with a water cut-off mastic and a full-perimeter sealant bead. The scupper is positioned to provide an overflow path two inches above the main roof membrane level. The scupper rests on pressure-treated wood blocking, which is secured to the wall structure using galvanized annular ring shank nails spaced at three inches on center.
