This vertical joint assembly connects two adjacent tilt-up concrete monolithic panels. The exterior face of the joint is formed by a 3/4-inch deep chamfer strip, creating a recessed profile with a 3/4-inch wide opening at the surface. The joint cavity is sealed with two levels of continuous sealant and backer rod to maintain a weather-tight barrier. The interior side of the concrete panels is lined with aluminum-faced rigid board insulation. The joint is aligned with a building grid line.
