Adjustable open shelves consist of three-quarter-inch medium-density fiberboard boards with three-quarter-inch by three-quarter-inch hardwood edge trim finished with paint to match walls. The shelves mount on white, sixteen-gauge Knape & Vogt 185 series double-slot wall standards or an approved equal. The standards are secured directly to wall studs using number ten by one-and-one-half-inch self-tapping screws spaced at twelve inches on center.
