The elevator threshold sits on a structural steel angle and continuous embed plate anchored at the slab edge, aligned with the finish floor and the face of the jamb. A quarter-inch high mill aluminum saddle threshold, similar to Pemko 2748, spans the opening with the width verified in the field. The steel angle is painted where exposed and galvanized where concealed. A sixteen-gauge galvanized steel cover plate meets the partition below, sealed with backer rod and sealant.
