A one-and-one-half-inch steel pipe guardrail and handrail assembly is anchored into poured-in-place concrete stairs and landings with a two-inch diameter by twelve-inch long steel pipe sleeve. The vertical posts are spaced at a maximum of six feet zero inches on center with four intermediate horizontal rails spaced evenly with five-and-one-half-inch gaps. A handrail bracket is welded to the vertical pipe. Steel embedded nosings with abrasive finishes and contrasting color stripes are cast into the concrete stair treads and landings.
