A thirty-foot steel lighting pole mounts to a cast-in-place concrete foundation via anchor bolts secured to a base plate. The cylindrical concrete pier measures twenty-four inches in diameter and extends six feet deep into undisturbed earth, reinforced with six number five vertical rebars and number four ties spaced at twelve inches on center. A ground lug on the pole connects to a number six bare copper ground conductor that coils approximately six feet at the bottom of the excavation, with an electrical conduit buried a minimum of one foot six inches. The top thirty inches of the concrete base are exposed with a rubbed finish and a three-quarter-inch radius edge, surrounded by a sodded mowing strip where applicable.
