Steel stud partition framing terminates below a parallel metal deck assembly utilizing a fire track shadowline and posi clips. Mineral wool board insulation fills the flutes of the metal deck above the partition head. Gypsum board clads both sides of the steel studs, with fire-rated gypsum compound or fire caulk sealing the joint at the underside of the deck.
