This roof drain assembly integrates into a concrete structural slab topped with a vapor barrier and tapered rigid insulation. A coverboard sits beneath the fully adhered single-ply roofing membrane, which is secured using membrane adhesive along with mechanical fasteners and plates. The roof drain features a strainer and a rainwater leader, with an optional collar insert shown dashed for overflow drain applications. Sealing mastic is applied around the drain connection to maintain continuity of the waterproofing layer.
