This flushed tile transition detail incorporates scheduled tile set in a thinset mortar bed over a cementitious backer unit and waterproof membrane. A scheduled Schluter trim in brushed stainless steel provides a clean edge termination between aligned tile surfaces. Grout joints are aligned across the transition as indicated. The backer unit is fastened to the underlying framing substrate.
