An aluminum window system mullion sets against framing per plans with shims as required and a perimeter joint sealed with backer rod and sealant. A pre-finished aluminum closure matching the exterior insulation and finish system wall transitions from the frame. The exterior wall assembly comprises exterior sheathing, weather-resistant barrier, and exterior insulation and finish system over compatible adhesive with a manufacturer-specified drainage system. Six-inch and nine-inch self-adhered flashings tie the rough opening to the weather-resistant barrier. All penetrations in the waterproofing membrane and weather-resistant barrier require full sealing.
