An exterior acoustic wall assembly is mounted to a concrete masonry unit block backing wall covered with a sheet water barrier. A layer of one-half-inch treated plywood supports seven-eighth-inch hat channels and exterior acoustic wall panels. A stainless steel metal flashing with a drip edge transitions the assembly, positioned beneath a one-by synthetic wood cant four feet long typical with one-half-inch spacing between lengths. The outermost layer consists of cement fiber lap siding fastened over the water-resistive barrier.
