A hollow metal door with a painted exterior finish meets the floor assembly above a metal threshold designated as Pemco 271. A door sweep or shoe is attached to the bottom of the door according to the hardware schedule, maintaining a one-half-inch maximum clearance above the floor finish. The concrete slab edge features a one-quarter-inch tooled edge adjacent to a vertical joint filled with sealant over a one-half-inch expansion joint material. Wall and jamb assemblies extend beyond the threshold on both interior and exterior sides.
