A metal strut member connects to the underside of a concrete structural slab using a three-eighths-inch diameter expansion anchor set with a six-inch minimum edge distance and a one-inch offset from the face of the beam, joist, or edge of slab. The strut profile has its flanges cut and bent two inches. The connection bears against the slab, beam, or joist soffit which has a minimum width of twelve inches where applicable.
