This two-hour fire-rated partition assembly consists of cold-formed metal stud framing filled with acoustic batt insulation and faced on both sides with double layers of five-eighths inch type X gypsum wallboard. The interior cavity contains acoustic insulation to provide an STC rating between 55 and 59.
