A continuous eighteen gauge metal plate is fastened to the concrete deck at two feet on center staggered. A slip track runner is fastened to the plate at two feet on center, maintaining a one-half inch deflection space left free of fasteners to studs and gypsum board. Fire safing sealant is applied continuously on each side of the track.
