A metal parapet coping caps the top of a masonry wall, set over a wood fiber tapered edge strip that provides a slope of one-quarter inch per foot. The assembly is anchored to treated two-by wood nailers secured directly to the top of the wall. A continuous metal cleat holds the outer edge of the coping, fastened with gasketed fasteners spaced per specifications. A waterproofing membrane extends below the nailer and is secured against the wall face. Masonry screw anchors measuring one-quarter inch by four inches are installed at twelve inches on center staggered.
