A continuous steel plate sized and gauged per plan spans two ribs of the overhead metal deck and attaches with screws on each side of the stud. A typical slip track sized and gauged per plan caps the cold-formed steel stud wall below, connected with screws to the metal plate at each stud. The metal deck above is provided by others.
