A transition assembly joins carpet tile to ceramic tile over a concrete slab. The carpet is set on a leveler bed and abuts an L-shaped profile edge trim. The ceramic tile is set on a thin-set mortar bed within the metal profile, maintaining a total height of 1/2 inch. At curved applications, the tile installer uses a radius option of the jolly profile.
