A primed base flange from a vent, duct, or other roof unit is set into roof cement over installed ply sheets and staggered with nail flanges spaced at four inches on center, noting that lead flashings do not require fastening. Two stripping plies set in asphalt extend outward over the assembly, layered over a membrane per specification meeting FM I-90. A pressure treated wood nailer matches the insulation thickness where required.
