The gate assembly is framed with four-inch square steel tube jambs set over eighteen-inch diameter by three-foot deep concrete gate jamb post footings. Steel plates measuring six by eighteen inches by three-sixteenths of an inch are welded to the steel framing to receive gate hardware, an electric strike, an intercom, and a card reader. Push and pull hardware along with a self-closer are installed per the door schedule. A one-foot wide by six-inch deep concrete mow strip runs beneath the assembly adjacent to a concrete walk.
