This wall penetration detail features a PVC-coated galvanized metal scupper sleeve set within an eight-inch opening framed by three-quarter-inch fire-retardant CDX plywood blocking. A painted eighteen-gauge galvanized metal frame and one-and-a-half-inch metal strap secure the assembly, complemented by continuous sealant and PVC flashing heat-welded at all fasteners. The exterior wall incorporates prefinished insulated metal panels over a fluid-applied air barrier, five-eighths-inch exterior gypsum sheathing, and eight-inch metal studs with weep holes spaced at sixteen inches on center. The roof assembly ties into the lower curb with appropriate fasteners and a deflection clip as required.
